Sherbet potency: THC, CBD and terpenes from 768 lab tests

In 768 state lab tests, Sherbet flower had a median total THC of 20.52%, with the middle half of results between 17.60% and 22.79%.1 CBD is negligible, and β-caryophyllene leads the terpenes ahead of limonene and β-myrcene, the same order Leafly lists.1,2 Linalool is a close fourth at 0.13%.1

How published THC figures compare

Strain databases publish a single figure or a range: Leafly lists 18%, AllBud 15–19% and Weedmaps 15–24%.2,3,4 Seed sellers claim similar figures: 18–21% for Crop King and 20% for ILGM and for Pyramid Seeds’ version.5,6,7 In state lab results the median of 20.52% is above Leafly’s 18% and above AllBud’s whole range; 90% of Sherbet flower tested below 24.80%, and the single highest result was 35.54%.1,2,3

Results differ by state: among states with at least 50 tests, medians ran from 16.27% in Maryland (72 tests) to 21.87% in Washington (251).1 In every year with at least 100 tests (2018, 2019, 2021, 2022) the yearly median stayed between 19.57% and 21.87%.1 AllBud lists 1% CBD for Sherbert and Sunset Sherbert, but none of the 479 tests that reported CBD reached 1%.1,8,9

Limits of this data

  • Coverage is uneven. Washington (251), Michigan (225), Nevada (175), Maryland (72) supply most of the 768 tests, which date from 2017 to 2024; Oregon and Rhode Island results carry no product names and could not be matched.
  • Some labs report higher THC than others, so we publish medians and middle ranges rather than maxima. No single lab accounts for more than 13.2% of these tests (33 labs in total).
  • Terpene medians come from 193 tests with individual terpene values, 175 of them from Nevada labs. Maryland reports only total terpenes (66 tests), and Washington, Michigan and Hawaii report none.
  • We matched names strictly: Sherbet, Sherbert, Sunset Sherbet and Sunset Sherbert count, while crosses and near-miss names (for example "Sunset Sherbert × Purple Punch", 303 results) are excluded and counted, and duplicate certificates are removed. Washington tests count only when two name fields agree, which set aside 496 more flower results.
