FAQ

Sherbet: frequently asked questions

Short answers to the questions people search most about Sherbet, each with its sources.

Is Sherbet indica or sativa?

Indica-dominant. AllBud lists 85% indica on each of its four pages for the names, Leafly and Weedmaps call it indica-dominant, and Leafly rates its effects mostly calming.1,2,3,4,5,6

Is Sherbet the same as Sunset Sherbet?

Yes. Leafly files the strain as Sherbert and lists Sherbet, Sunset Sherbet and Sunset Sherbert as other names; Weedmaps files it as Sherbet, also known as Sunset Sherbert, Sunset Sherbet, Sherbert and Cookie Fam Sherbet. AllBud alone keeps separate pages and calls Sherbert a sister strain of Sunset Sherbet.3,5,6

Is Sunset Sherbet the same as Rainbow Sherbet?

No. Rainbow Sherbet is a Champagne × Blackberry hybrid whose original breeder is unknown; Sunset Sherbet is Girl Scout Cookies × Pink Panties from Mr. Sherbinski, who named it after Thrifty’s rainbow sherbet and San Francisco’s Sunset District.5,7,8,9

What is RS11, or Rainbow Sherbert #11?

A separate strain from Deo Farms of Oakland, selected by Wizard Trees of Los Angeles. Leafly lists it as Pink Guava × Sunset Sherbert, which would make it a Sherbet descendant; Weedmaps lists OZK × Pink Guava, dates it to 2022 and says it is not another name for Rainbow Sherbet.8,10,11

What strain is Sherbet?

An indica-dominant cross of Girl Scout Cookies and Pink Panties from Mr. Sherbinski in San Francisco, around 2012, and a parent of Gelato, Jealousy and London Pound Cake.5,9,12,13,14

Who created Sherbet?

Mario Guzman, known as Mr. Sherbinski, when a Pink Panties seedling he was testing turned out male and pollinated a room of Girl Scout Cookies; High Times says Pink Panties itself was made by Sherbinski and Jigga.9,15,16

How much THC is in Sherbet?

The median is 20.52% across 768 state lab tests; half of all results fall between 17.60% and 22.79%.17 Leafly lists 18%.5

What terpenes are in Sherbet?

By median, β-caryophyllene 0.31%, limonene 0.25%, β-myrcene 0.13% (percent by weight), the same order Leafly lists.5,17

Does Sherbet have CBD?

Almost none: 293 of the 479 tests that reported CBD found none, and the highest result was 0.70%. AllBud lists 1% CBD for Sherbert and Sunset Sherbert, which the lab results do not bear out.3,4,17

What does Sherbet taste like?

Sweet and citrusy: Leafly lists citrus, sweet and tropical, and Weedmaps sweet, flowery and berry. Sherbinski said he tasted berry, lemon, orange and lime, like rainbow sherbet.5,6,9

Does Sherbet make you sleepy?

Reports differ. Leafly rates it mostly calming and Weedmaps says the relaxation gains ground as the effects go on, but Leafly’s 2025 best-sellers list calls it a daytime, energizing pick, and one AllBud page says it relaxes without sedation.3,5,6,18

What is Sherb Cake?

Two strains use the name. Leafly lists Sherbet Cake, also called Sherb Cake, as Girl Scout Cookies × Pink Panties from an unknown breeder, the same parents as Sherbet, and a separate Sherb Cake from Seed Junky Genetics as Permanent Marker × Purple Push Pop.19,20

How long does Sherbet take to flower?

About 63–72 days per Leafly; Weedmaps says the clone-only cut matures within 70 days indoors. Seed versions are listed at 8–9 weeks (Crop King) and 50–60 days (Pyramid Seeds).5,6,21,22
