Among qualifying labs for Sherbet, Lab H in Nevada had a 14.68% median, while Lab D in Washington had 23.42% among labs with at least 20 tests, leaving 8.74 points between them.1
Key findings
- Sherbet's qualifying-lab spread ran wide, with Lab H in Nevada at 14.68% and Lab D in Washington at 23.42%, separated by 8.74 points.1
- 56% of Sherbet flower tests reached at least 20% total THC; 8.5% reached 25%, and 0.5% reached 30%.1
- The terpene lead was not a sweep: β-caryophyllene led 53% of terpene panels, ahead of limonene at 29%.1
- Across eligible years, Sherbet ended −1.29 points lower overall (2018 median 21.87%; 2023 median 20.58%), while Washington stayed nearly unchanged at +0.50 points.1
- Weedmaps had 229 store listings with Sherbet flower in 19 of 27 markets, enough for the 15th slot among 50 tracked strains.2
Where is Sherbet most likely to clear 20% THC?
Washington is where Sherbet most often cleared 20% THC in the state comparison, with 73% of 251 flower tests at that level or higher; overall, 56% of 768 tests reached 20%, 8.5% reached 25% and 0.5% reached 30%.1
The state split is large: Washington had 73% of 251 tests at 20% or higher and a 21.87% median, while Maryland had 15% of 72 at that line and a 16.27% median.1 The state gap reflects local growers, labs and testing rules as well as the plant.

Are Sherbet THC numbers understated online?
Yes, the single online THC figures we checked are conservative for Sherbet: zero of the three single figures sat above the lab median of 20.52%.1 The highest single value was ILGM's 20%; tests reached that cutoff 56% of the time.1,3
The low single value, Leafly's 18%, sat below most results; 73% of tests reached it or higher.1,4 For ranges, the 15–24% range from Weedmaps enclosed 75% of lab tests, compared with 26% for AllBud's 15–19%.1,5,6

What terpene leads Sherbet just over half the time?
Sherbet's terpene panels most often put β-caryophyllene first: 53% of 193, compared with limonene at 29% and β-myrcene at 15%.1
The published terpene note from Leafly points to caryophyllene, and Sherbet's panels support it: β-caryophyllene led 53% of panels.1,4 Most of this terpene evidence comes from Nevada, where labs supplied 175 of 193 panels, so the split mostly reflects that market's flower.1
| Terpene | Tests where it led | Share of tests |
|---|---|---|
| β-caryophyllene | 103 | 53% |
| Limonene | 56 | 29% |
| β-myrcene | 28 | 15% |
| Linalool | 3 | 1.6% |

Is Ice Cream Cake the closest terpene match for Sherbet?
Yes, Ice Cream Cake is Sherbet's closest terpene-profile neighbor, with 95% overlap among 36 compared strains.1 Wedding Cake and OG Kush sit just behind at 94% and 94%, while Durban Poison is the farthest match at 41%.1 Those close matches share a β-caryophyllene lead; Durban Poison is led by terpinolene.1
For the match, each strain starts with median values across eight terpenes; we recast those as shares of the eight-terpene sum and measure the shared portion, where identical mixes score 100. Strains enter only after 30 tests reporting individual terpenes. It compares chemistry in lab files only and does not tell how Sherbet will feel.
| Strain | Overlap | Lead terpene (by median) | Tests with terpenes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ice Cream Cake | 95% | β-caryophyllene | 753 |
| Wedding Cake | 94% | β-caryophyllene | 1,388 |
| OG Kush | 94% | β-caryophyllene | 127 |
| Gushers | 94% | β-caryophyllene | 74 |
| Gelato | 93% | β-caryophyllene | 371 |

How much can Sherbet THC vary by lab?
Among the 9 labs with at least 20 tests, Sherbet's median THC varied by 8.74 points, from Lab H in Nevada at 14.68% to Lab D in Washington at 23.42%.1
In-state results still separate: Michigan's 3 qualifying labs have medians from 18.49% through 22.10%, with 3.61 points between low and high.1
Different growers send material to different labs, so this spread is not evidence that any lab reads high. Lab labels are masked here: Lab A is simply the lab with the largest count, while the downloadable file gives the real names.
| Lab | State | Tests | Median THC | Share at 20% or more |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Lab A | Nevada | 99 | 20.89% | 66% |
| Lab B | Michigan | 87 | 22.10% | 87% |
| Lab C | Washington | 80 | 21.86% | 86% |

Are terpenes lower in high-THC Sherbet?
Yes, in paired Sherbet results, the high-THC third had the lower median total-terpene weight: 1.19% at the high end (21.03% THC or more) against 1.32% at the low end (16.82% THC or less).1
Across 259 paired results, the higher terpene median belonged to the lower-THC third, and the two terpene medians differed by 0.13 points.1 The state check split directions: Nevada down and Maryland up, so the overall down pattern held in 1 of 2 states; in Nevada, the low-THC group was 1.16% and the high-THC group was 1.13%.1 A total-terpenes value weighs aroma compounds as a share of the sample; it does not report effects.
| Tests from | Tests | Lowest-THC third | Highest-THC third |
|---|---|---|---|
| All states | 259 | 1.32% | 1.19% |
| Nevada | 175 | 1.16% | 1.13% |
| Maryland | 66 | 1.46% | 2.05% |

Is Sherbet testing lower than before?
Yes overall: for eligible years, Sherbet's median THC moved down by −1.29 points, from 21.87% in 2018 on 123 tests to 20.58% in 2023 on 33.1
In Washington, however, fixing the state makes the line nearly flat: 2018 was 22.10% and 2022 was 22.60%, for +0.50 points.1 That means the states supplying tests helped shape the overall decline.
We leave out calendar years below the 20-test floor; 6 years meet that floor for Sherbet.1
| Year | Tests | Median THC |
|---|---|---|
| 2018 | 123 | 21.87% |
| 2019 | 114 | 21.08% |
| 2020 | 84 | 20.40% |
| 2021 | 244 | 19.57% |

What longer Sherbet names get excluded?
We exclude longer Sherbet labels such as “Sunset Sherbert x Purple Punch”, “Blue Sherbert” and “Flower - Sour Banana Sherbert”; under the exact Sherbet label, labs logged 1,146 results, with 73% (831) flower and the remainder split among concentrates at 16%, shake and trim at 7.3%, and other or unrecorded at 3.0%.1 Only the flower subset feeds this page's strain calculations.
Longer names dominate the wider Sherbet name pool: 3,357 more results include the word, representing 75% of name-containing records, with “Sunset Sherbert x Purple Punch” (303), “Blue Sherbert” (230) and “Flower - Sour Banana Sherbert” (103) as the largest examples.1 We leave those variants out because extra words and cross markers can identify different plants; see the matching method.

What this data cannot tell you
- The lab file covers Sherbet flower from 7 states over 2017–2024; it cannot verify a specific jar, for which the batch certificate of analysis is the record.1
- All findings here are chemistry readings, not a way to know how Sherbet will feel for any individual.
